YSU identifies three finalists for new president

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown State University Board of Trustees announces the three finalists they have chosen for the position of new university president on Tuesday.

They accepted the reccomendations of the YSU Presidential Search Advisory Committee and will interview the following candidates:

  • William R. Decatur, J.D. and executive vice president of Rhode Island School of Design.
  • Randy J. Dunn, Ed.D, president of Murray State University in Kentucky.
  • James D. Moran III, Ph.D and vice chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs at the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education in Harrisburg, Pa. 

These candidates will then visit campus in May and the trustees hope to select the next president no later than June 12.
