YSU Penguins preparing for Friday's Red-White game

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown State football team puts a lid on spring practice this Friday with the annual Red-White game.

After 13 practices, the Penguins are heading in the right direction, and have answered some off season questions already.

"I feel very confident we have a good football team.  I don't need to promote it anymore or broadcast it. People know after watching us last year that we have a good football team. So I'm in a different stage right now and i want to find out who our tailback is going to be, can we replace Will Shaw and can we replace those defensive lineman we lost.  The answer to all three is yes," Coach Eric Wolford said.

The red white game starts at 7:30 p.m. at Stambaugh Stadium.  The tailgate lots open at 5:00 p.m.
