Restaurant to close after 7 years in business

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Valley restaurant will see its final day after seven years and three months of business.

George Cimmento, owner of Cafe Cimmento, has confirmed that the restaurant's last night of business will be on Saturday.

He said there isn't one particular reason for the closing.

"I'd like to settle back and not put any hours in anywhere. Also, my son has an opportunity to really advance himself in a job and I wouldn't want to do it without him," Cimmento says. "Plus with all of the new food businesses that Youngstown is getting, we're kind of off the beaten path and its really affecting our lunch business."

Cimmento says he is ready to settle down and not work quite as much. However, after seven years in the business, he hopes to do something at least part time.
