Kasich leads in poll released for 2014 governor race

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Republican Governor John Kasich is the preferred candidate in the 2014 governor's race with a commanding lead among men.

According to information released Thursday, Kasich leads the Quinnipiac University poll 46 to 37 percent over Cuyahoga County Executive Ed Fitzgerald and 45 to 38 percent over U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray.

Quinnipiac's survey stated, "Kasich leads Fitzgerald 51 to 32 percent among men, while women are divided 41 to 41 percent. Kasich tops Cordray 52 to 34 percent among men, while women go 43 percent for Cordray and 39 percent for the incumbent."

Poll results were also released in late February where Kasich had a similar outcome.
