Democratic party holds hall of fame tribute dinner

Posted: Updated:

BOARDMAN, Ohio - The Mahoning County Democratic party holds it's sixth hall of fame tribute dinner.

Five long-time members were honored tonight at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.

They are Tom Carney, retired Youngstown judge Robert Douglas, activist Ann Vross, Joe Gorman and Ken Carano.

Douglas said it was a great feeling to be honored.

"I'm quite honored to be honored by the Mahoning Democratic party ... many good people that I've worked with over the years. It was special for them to add me to the program and be honored tonight," Douglas said.

"Politics has been a major part of my life and now we have politicians who are honoring me. I'm so proud," said Ken Carano.
