Canfield being sued over investigation into rape allegations

CANFIELD, Ohio - The city of Canfield denies any wrongdoing in a police investigation into rape allegations made against an 11-year-old girl.

The parents of the girl investigated for allegedly sexually assaulting three other 11- year-old girls is suing the city for five million dollars.

Among other things, the suit claims that police interrogated their daughter for five hours without food, drink or rest.

The city issued a statement on Thursday calling the statements in the complaint completely fabricated and not based on reality.

The 11-year-old girl was eventually cleared of charges.
