YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The city's Hispanic Culture Center is celebrating an open house with Time Warner Cable for it's newly upgraded technology lab.
The cable company and the League of United Latin-American Citizens have partnered to donate equipment and to replace computers that were old and out of date.
"They've donated ten computers and a printer and two years of high speed wireless broadband service for us free of charge to upgrade our old center, which was in shambles when I got here last June," said OCCHA director Susan Nieves.
The technology lab will be available to teach people computer skills for job searches and applications, and for student homework during the center's after school programs.
Work cannot be completed soon enough on the first roundabout in Mahoning County. That's how residents and motorists feel about the project that is taking place at Matthews and Sheridan Roads.More >>
