Fundraiser held for one-year-old drowning victim

Posted: Updated:

MILTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A community rallies behind a grieving couple that is mourning the loss of their one-year-old daughter.

Zahkaia Lee Moger drowned last week when she fell into a pond in a Milton Township residence.

She had been with her father, who had been working on a friend's car.

She wandered off when he wasn't looking.

On Sunday from noon to 7 p.m., Club Twisted in Youngstown held a fundraiser to help the child's parents pay for funeral costs.

"We'd like to thank everybody that's come out to benefit my brother. It's hard to go through this and it's awesome that family and friends can pull together and help out," says Moger's uncle, Doug Keener.

Zahkaia was the only child of Stephen Keener and Stephanie Moger.
