Man sentenced after being found guilty of vehicular manslaughter

LISBON, Ohio - A man found guilty of vehicular homicide in the death of an East Liverpool man last year has been sentenced.

Michael Bair, 32, was sentenced to 90 days in prison, with the possibility of suspension after 45 days, in court Wednesday. he was also charged a $500 fine and his license has been revoked for two years with the exception of court appearances.

Bair had pleaded no contest to vehicular manslaughter earlier this month after rear-ending 35-year-old David Mayfield with his semi last year in Elkun Township.

Mayfield, who was driving an SUV at the time of the accident, overturned and was pronounced dead at the scene.
