At least one injured in rollover accident in Boardman

Posted: Updated:

BOARDMAN, Ohio - A rollover accident at the intersection of Market Street and Western Reserve Road sent one person to the hospital on Saturday.

Traffic was already backed up in the area after a power outage.

Traffic lights at the intersection had gone into a safety mode, flashing red for one road and yellow for the other.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that the driver of a SUV was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The patrol says it made a few phone calls to the Ohio Department of Transportation which is responsible for lights at that location.

ODOT confirmed it did receive calls about two hours prior, but says its trucks are in Akron and it must call available engineers from a list on weekends.
