Victim identified in fatal accident near Salem on Friday

SALEM, Ohio - The Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a fatal accident Friday afternoon north of Salem.

Troopers say 53-year-old J. R. Hollobaugh was riding his bicycle out of his driveway to head westbound on Pine Lake Road when he was struck by a Chevy Silverado.

He was pronounced dead at Salem Hospital.

The crash is still under investigation.
