Pennsylvania Police investigating the shooting of a former Mahoning County Deputy and his wife

MAHONING TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania - Authorities in Lawrence County are revealing more information about the shootings of a former deputy and his wife.

State Police say they believe Joe Lupo shot Carolyn Lupo then turned the weapon on himself at their Mahoning Township home.

State Police reported on Monday that Joe Lupo, a former Mahoning County Sherrif's Deputy, had died.

But on Tuesday, they said that he has not died, but remains hospitalized.

Lupo's wife is also in the hospital with wounds to the stomach and leg.

There's no word on what may have sparked what police call a domestic shooting.
