WEATHERSFIELD, Ohio - Two hours after a post on the police department's Facebook page asking the community for help, Weathersfield police arrested two suspects in a hardware store robbery.

Virgil Verhest Jr. and Samantha Manda, both of Niles, are charged with misdemeanor theft for taking several items from the Handyman Hardware in the township.

Police credit several calls in response to their Facebook posts for the capture of the suspects.

The Facebook posts at 11 a.m. asked the community for help identifying the two suspects based on grainy security footage photos.

Police tell 21 News the stolen items were recovered in the suspects' home where the two live together.
