Counterfeit bills turning up in Boardman

BOARDMAN, Ohio - Thousands in counterfeit bills are turning up inside a few Boardman Township cash registers.

Township Police tell 21 News that detectives are working with the secret service to find out who used counterfeit bills at Rite Aid, CVS and Giant Eagle.

The suspect, who is believed to be an out-of-state resident, used the fraudlent bills to place money orders which amount to thousands of dollars.

The run is in memory of 14-year-old Teddy Foltz who died in 2013 at the hands of his mother's boyfriend who abused and beat him for years.
