YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A contract that would increase wages by two percent every year for the next three years for 670 members of Teamsters Local 377 was passed by those union members Friday night.
The 670 members that had the chance to vote on the contract are employed at St. Elizabeth Health Center as maintenance, clerical and other types of workers.
Bobbi Terwilliger, business agent for 377, reports 80 percent of that membership voted in favor of the contract.
Some highlights of the contract include the aforementioned wage increases, a freeze on healthcare premiums and a freeze on generic prescription co-pays.
Terwilliger says members are "pretty happy" with the tentative contract.
