Liberty in search of a new football coach

Posted: Updated:

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Usually this time of year high school football takes a back seat, but not today.

Liberty is looking for a head coach after Brian Jones stepped down after one season.

Liberty school officials say Jones stepped down for personal seasons.

Under Jones last year, the Leopards won the national division of the All American Conference, made the playoffs before losing to eventual state champion Norwayne in the second round.

The Leopards finished 10 and 2 overall.

Superintendent Stan Watson tells 21 Sports that the district will start the process of finding their new head coach as soon as possible.
