Salem man who tried to have sex with underage babysitter sentenced

Posted: Updated:

LISBON, Ohio - A man found guilty of raping a 15-year-old babysitter has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Anthony Mehno, 24, was sentenced after being convicted of rape, sexual battery, and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor after an incident involving a babysitter in 2010.

The victim, who was babysitting the 2-year-old daughter of Mehno's girlfriend, said she had fell asleep next to the child, only to awake to Mehno on top of her trying to have sex with her. She fought him off and broke free before anything could happen.
