SPRINGFIELD TWP., Ohio - Construction is underway on a $300 million gas processing plant in Springfield Township.

Crews began building the Nisource gas processing plant.

According to township trustee Bob Orr, this is the second largest investment in the township.

The plant will provide 20 permanent jobs.

The Cryogenic plant is being built at the corner of State Line and Middletown Roads.

The plant will freeze the gas to remove liquids and then the dry gas is transported via an already existing transmission line.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
