Valley coach inducted into hall of fame

Posted: Updated:

It was a special night for a long time high school football coach in the Valley.

Tony Napolet, who coached 29 years at Niles and Warren JFK, is one of six to be inducted into the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Napolet retired in 2011 due to health reasons.

Over his five decades of coaching he won 214 games. In 1991 Warren JFK won a state championship under his guidance. His 1963 Niles team won the Associated Press Championship.

Napolet is the 17th coach from the Mahoning Valley to receive this honor.
