LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Police arrested a fugitive after finding him in a Liberty Township hotel with drugs and a 300-pound pig.

Heath Bechtel, 41, was arrested at Hotel 30 and charged with drug posession on Saturday after officers found that he was wanted for trespassing in Mercer County.

Police say the Greenville man originally provided a false name, but eventually revealed his real identification, according to a report.

In the hotel room, police found narcotics, instruments for drug abuse, as well as a pot belly pig named Penelope.

Police said the pig tried to attack them but did not injure anyone.

Officers fed the pig gummy bears and water until Animal Welfare and the Humane Society officials arrived to remove Penelope.

Bechtel has a hearing set Wednesday in Girard Municipal Court.
