$1 million bond for suspect in deadly Southington stabbing

WARREN, Ohio - A Southington man accused of fatally stabbing his step dad and stabbing his mother appeared in court for the first time.

Thomas Starr pleaded not guilty to one count of murder, attempted murder and felonious assault.

The judge set Starr's bond at $1 million. 

Starr is accused of stabbing his mother Lisa Fry and Jeffery Westfall at their Southington home Saturday night.

Westfall's body was discovered on the porch.

Fry remains in critical condition at a Cleveland Hospital.
