$35,000 donated to help elderly in need

WARREN, Ohio -  A $35,000 donation will help cover prescription costs for some disadvantaged elderly people in the Valley.

The Trumbull Memorial Health Foundation presented a check this afternoon to the Avamar Foundation.

According to it's website, the Avamar Foundation distributes donated funds to needy elderly people to help them purchase prescription medication.

Avamar's governing board is made up of volunteers who donate their time and resources to maximize it's fundraising ability.
