Small Ships Revue in Sharon

Posted: Updated:

SHARON, Pennsylvania - Some very creative boats and crew members took to the river in downtown Sharon Friday night for the 33rd annual Small Ships Revue.

More than a dozen home-made floats were entered in the contest.

Floats were judge on everything from most unique to most patriotic.

But for spectators it was all about watching the good time.

"Everybody is out here. There no question about it. Everyone brings their baskets and their balloons ... trying to hit the floats. They're trying to hit us," says Sharon resident Valeria Baker.

"Watching the boats sink definitely has to be the most fun," says Cyndee Perrino of Boardman.

"It's awesome seeing the number of people here. I'm sure it supports all the business locally," says Greg McMillan of New Wilmington.

Before the Small Ships Revue, a Pre-Launch Parade made it's way through the downtown.

WFMJ Today anchors Mike Case and Lauren Lindvig took part in the parade before judging the floats.
