Warren Packard Music Hall celebrates Independence Day with Concert Band

Posted: Updated:

WARREN, Ohio - The W.D. Packard Concert Band set the tone with patriotic music at the annual Fourth of July celebration.

The 50-member professional band performed at the music hall's south lawn band shell and fireworks followed.

The events are made possible by the Packard Trust.

"We try to follow what W.D. Packard did in his will. He said that we are to perform for the entertainment and edification of the people of Warren and he set that up 93 years ago and we just continue to do that," says Warren resident Thomas Groth.

The band has 23 concerts throughout the year.
