Body found in Guilford lake

Posted: Updated:

LISBON, Ohio - The body of a 91-year-old man was pulled from the waters of Guilford Lake Wednesday night.

Columbiana County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Allen Haueter tells 21 News that his office is awaiting for official confirmation from the county medical examiner's office that the body is that of Edward Krauss.

Authorities found a Ford Fusion belonging to Krauss, who was reported missing earlier that day.

A deputy found the vehicle near Lakeview Road, just off the lake shore.

The  missing person report was filed by Mabel Primm, of Lisbon, Wednesday morning with the sheriff's office. Primm told a deputy that Mr. Krauss "is having trouble remembering things and is confused on some things."

Primm said she believed it was possible he had driven to Sharon, Pa., that morning.
