Posted: Updated:

CORTLAND, Ohio - The Trumbull County Fair kicks off its 167th year of operation Tuesday.

This year's theme will recognize the "year of the farmer," according to the fair's website. In addition to the scheduled horse rides, auto races and the annual Parade of Colors, the fair will also feature the current Miss Ohio, Heather Wells of Howland, in its opening ceremony and as a judge for the beauty pageant.

The Ohio Department of Agriculture will also honor three Trumbull County farmers who have been in operation for 200 years.

The fair will run from Tuesday through the weekend. Daily admission is $4 or you can buy a weekly pass for $18 (does not include rides). For more information and a daily list of events, visit trumbullcountyfair.com
