Grove City 11-year-old charged with sending sexually explicit images

Posted: Updated:

GROVE CITY, Pennsylvania - Grove City police have charged an 11 year old girl with transmitting sexually explicit images by a minor.

According to police report, the girl sent photos of herself exposing her breasts to other juveniles.

Grove City Police Corporal Mark Jaskowok tells 21 News that the charge was filed after a parent reported seeing the photo on a social media web site.

The case will be heard before magistrate D. Neil McEwen.

According to Corporal Jaskowok, under Pennsylvania law, the magisterial district judge shall first consider having the young offender take part a diversionary program that may require participation in an educational program which includes the legal and non legal consequences of sharing sexually explicit images.

Police say the investigation is continuing into other juveniles involved in this activity.
