WARREN, Ohio - A arbitrator has upheld the firing of former Warren police officer Jeffrey Miller.

Miller was fired earlier this year after he was charged with a probation violation for failing to complete an alcohol treatment program.

Police say Miller failed to stop at a red light on Rt. 224 last year, and hit another vehicle.

Miller's attorney told the judge, that FAMILY issues prevented him from finishing the program.

Several arrests involving domestic violence and drunk driving ultimately led to Miller's discharge.

An arbitrator rejected Miller's challenge of his dismissal.
