Austintown restaurant relocating

Posted: Updated:

AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio - The co-owner of an Austintown restaurant says plans to build a racino in the township was a factor in a decision to relocate.

Ashley James says the Fifth Season has been serving customers from it's Mahoning Avenue location just east of the Meander Reservoir for ten years.

But after Saturday, the  restaurant moves to Canfield Niles Road in Weathersfield Township, next to the Fifth  Season Banquet Center.

James says the new location will be slightly smaller with a new atmosphere. She expects the proximity to the planned Hollywood Slots at Mahoning Valley Racecourse on the other side of Interstate 80 will be good for business.

James says they'll retain the same chefs and staff. The business will have lunch hours and be open on Sundays.

The Fifth Season is holding a moving celebration at it's current location on Thursday, Friday and  Saturday.
