Suspect arrested after stabbing in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown police have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed three women late Saturday night at the Kendis Circle apartments.

Cynthia Torres told police that she told 32-year-old Jorge Luis Rivera Bernabe to leave when he came to her apartment. While she and her friends, 54-year-old Carmen Alicea and 28-year-old Sophia Alicea, were struggling with him to push him out, he stabbed them and then fled.

Torres was stabbed in the chest, Sophia Alicea was stabbed in the left eye, and Carmen Alicea was stabbed in the leg.

All three are in stable condition at St. Elizabeth's Hospital.

    Several police units are searching for a man belived to be involved in a car chase that started out in Hermitage.  The chase began in Hermitage and stopped near State Line Road in Hubbard.  There, the car crashed and was abandoned. The driver took off on foot. Mercer County Dispatch said the man may still be in Ohio, most likely near Interstate 80.  This is a developing story.
