Arby's celebrating 49th anniversary, offering special prices

Posted: Updated:

BOARDMAN, Ohio - One of the country's largest fast-food chains is celebrating its 49th anniversary, and it originated here in the Valley.

Arby's will celebrate its anniversary on Tuesday and will mark the occasion with a one-day special offer for it's customers.

"We have a coupon special on Facebook and you can come in and get the Classic Roast Beef Sandwich for just 64 cents," says Arby's franchise owner James Pipino.

The coupon can be printed at arbys.com and the offer is good at all 23 Arby's restaurants in the Valley.

The name Arby's was taken from the initials R and B for the Raffel brothers, Leroy and Forrest, who opened their first store on Route 224 in Boardman on July 23rd, 1964
