Lawrence County Hospice hosts Caregivers Support program

NEW CASTLE, Pa. - On Thursday, Jameson Hospice of Lawrence County will hold its next Caregivers Support Program called, Hands on Care: A Hands-On Guide for Caregivers.

This free event is open to all caregivers in the community and will focus on care techniques such as body mechanics, lifting, fall prevention, fall recovery and other medical management techniques. 

This session will also include relaxation exercises and Tai Chi.

The program takes place from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Sim Lab on the fourth Floor Jameson North Campus, 1211 Wilmington Avenue in New Castle.

The support program is supported in part with a grant from the Hospice Education Institute.
