HERMITAGE, Penn. -  The Mercer County Coroner has officially ruled homicide in the death of Frank Crash.

Coroner J. Bradley McGonigle tells 21 news that an autopsy has determined that Crash was stabbed with a sharp instrument more than 70 times.

The body of the 76-year-old owner of an auto parts recycling business was found early Thursday inside his Hempfield Township home after he failed to show up for work.

McGonigle did not say if the murder weapon has been recovered, but referred further questions to Mercer County District Attorney Robert Kochems and Hempfield Township Police.

As of Saturday night, there was no word of an arrest in the case.
