YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - There has been global reaction to remarks made by Pope Francis, during his flight back to Rome from Brazil.
On the subject of gay priests, the Pontiff told reporters, "If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge."
Father Greg Maturi of St. Dominic's Church says the Catholic Church is all about forgiveness of sin and he believes that's what Pope Francis is saying.
"His point is about forgiveness of sins. That's what we priests do. We forgive sins and we always forgive sins. We never hold back forgiveness," Maturi says.
