Eateries to feature local foods during "30 Mile Meal Restaurant Week"

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown based nonprofit is making it easier for people to find places that serve local foods.

The regional marketing program 30 Mile Meal, which is part of the nonprofit Common Wealth, kicks off "Restaurant Week" Saturday August 10.

Twenty-one restaurant locations, mainly across Northeast Ohio, will be using ingredients from local farmers and producers.

Some eateries already use locally sourced ingredients and others have altered or added them to the menu for the week.

The event runs through next Saturday.
