Each unit has its moments during Penguins first scrimmage

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown State football team held their first scrimmage of the fall camp on Saturday and each unit had their moments during the two hour workout.

The Penguins final scrimmage before playing their first game is next Saturday.

Senior quarterback Kurt Hess led the first team offense on a 70 yard touchdown drive. Hess was 8 of 12 for 121 yard of passing on the day.

Danta Nania connected with Jelani Berassa for a 97 yard touchdown play.

On the other side of the ball, Ali Cheaib had seven tackles and a fumble recovery. Vince Coleman had four tackles; all were sacks. Torrian Pace led all running backs with 52 yards.
