Niles Litle Red Dragons host memorial football game

Posted: Updated:

NILES, Ohio - The Niles Little Red Dragons hosted a memorial game on Saturday for Daylin Ray who passed away tragically when the car he was riding in flipped over a guard rail killing Ray and five passengers in Warren last year.

Today the parents of Daylan Ray were presented with his jersey, number 4, which was retired.

They also honored the family of Courtney Miller, an Ohio State University student, who passed away in a car accident March 16th in Florida. She was also a former Little Dragon Cheerleader.

"We don't want people to ever forget them. We won't. They were part of our organization and we miss them. We miss them a lot," said Jim Leeper, Sr. with the Niles Little Red Dragons.

The memorials will be added next to one for Dean Gillespie who passed away on August 28, 2009 and Lloyd McCoy who was killed in a dive by shooting on August 22, 2009. Both were also Little Red Dragons.
