Good Samaritan in Champion helps dog thrown from a car

Posted: Updated:

CHAMPION TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A Good Samaritan in Trumbull County is trying to find the owner of a dog hit by a vehicle in Champion Township.

Danielle Klinesmith was at a friend's house on North Park Road when she heard yelping from the road. She walked outside in time to see a car stop and the driver toss a little dog to the side of the road.

She doesn't think it's the same vehicle that hit the dog.

Klinesmith says the dog can't use his back legs and says his tail looks kind of broken. She said a vet she spoke to was concerned about a possible spinal injury.

Klinesmith has been contacting veterinarians and local animal charities to get help for the dog. In the meantime, she hopes to find the dog's owner.
