YSU football player arrested on campus

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown State University football player was arrested on campus.

Dale Peterman was taken into custody during a warrant sweep by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old was wanted for failing to appear in court on two separate incidents within the past year.

The YSU cornerback failed to appear in Warren court for a pretrial hearing on charges of possessing marijuana and traffic citations for speeding, driving under suspension and failing to wear a seatbelt.

He also failed to appear in Girard court for driving under suspension.

He was released on bond from both courts.
