Informational meeting held on Canfield Schools levy

Posted: Updated:

CANFIELD, Ohio - Nearly 100 people attended the first meeting to promote a 5.9 mill additional levy for the Canfield Schools this evening.

Superintendent Alex Geordan says the meeting was held to help get information out to the public.

He also wanted the people of Canfield to get answers to their questions....and to encourage a sense of urgency.

"We need to make sure theres a sense of urgency throughout the community that this is needed in November," Geordan says. "If it doesn't happen in November, we can't grow as a district."

It's been eleven years since voters approved additional funding for the Canfield schools.

The superintendent encourages the public to attend their next meeting, Tuesday.
