Girlfriend of man killed in fatal Warren accident speaks about victim

Posted: Updated:

WARREN, Ohio - The Mahoning County coroner has identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a van last Friday in Warren and his girlfriend is talking to 21 News.

Joan Zame is still processing the news that detectives told her Thursday, that her boyfriend, 54-year-old Thomas Everidge was the victim of last Friday's fatal car accident at Youngstown Road and Adelaide Avenue.

The two had not been talking after having a fight.

Zame even says that she walked passed the accident scene and didn't realize it was Everidge.

"I'm heart broken and I know now I'll never get a chance to hold him again. I can hold him in my heart and that's where he'll live," says Zame.

Warren Police have not yet released the accident report. At this time, no charges have been filed against the driver of the mini-van.

Everidge is survived by three adult sons and his mother in Kinsman.
