Bank gives free parking as YSU students return to class

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Students returning to Youngstown State University this week are receiving a gift from a local financial institution.

Students who commute or have a car on campus may notice plastic bags placed over many of the parking meters. Those plastic bags mean free parking courtesy of Home Savings and Loan.

"As a local bank, we are always looking for ways to give back in the communities that we serve. We wanted to do something for YSU to show them how important they are to us," said Colleen Scott, Vice President of Marketing. "We had such a great response from the University and the community when we did this last year, we wanted to do it again," Scott added.

Parking at the metered locations is free until Friday.
