Two Youngstown church bells removed, building up for auction

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Two bells that stood tall over Youngstown are removed from their perches.

Dating back to 1883, a bell was placed on top of Immaculate Conception Church on Oak Street.

The bell features the name of the church's first pastor, Monsignor Manning.

The second bell came from the church's school and began ringing in 1906.

Both bells will be taken to Saint Angela Merici in Youngstown. The church and school will be auctioned off this Saturday at noon.
