Howland native prepares for Miss America pageant, gives community a sneak peek

Posted: Updated:

WARREN, Ohio - Howland native Heather Wells will be heading to Atlantic City on September 15 for the Miss America Pageant.

Wells will be competing with contestants from all 50 states.

This Friday at Aulizio's Banquet Center in Warren, you can get a sneak peek at Miss Ohio's dress and performances. Money raised will be used for travel expenses.

"This is really neat because this is all secret, and I'll be sharing my secret wardrobe with people in my community before I actually wear it officially on stage. So it's a really great experience, and if you can't make it out to Atlantic City, you'll get to see what I do first hand," says Wells.

People who want to help Heather Wells pay for the cost of participating in the Miss America Pageant can purchase $25 tickets for Friday's 6:30 p.m. benefit dinner at Aluzio's Banquet Center.

Tickets for Miss Wells' 8:00 p.m. performance are available for $10.
