WARREN, Ohio - A Hubbard man will spend more time behind bars for stealing the statue of a soldier from Valley Memorial Park in Hubbard.

Trumbull County  Common Pleas Judge Andrew Logan sentenced Richard Couturiaux to 18 months in prison on Tuesday.

Couturiaux pleaded guilty earlier to a charge of desecration for sawing the statue from it's base in April, and selling pieces of it to area scrap dealers.

Couturiaux will begin serving the 18 month sentence after he finishes serving an eight month sentence for another crime.
