Murder closes New Castle business

NEW CASTLE, Penn - A popular donut shop in New Castle remains closed following the fatal shooting of it's owner on Thursday.

Police say 52-year old Charles Burrelli, owner of May's Donuts was shot and killed during an argument with his son at a warehouse in Union Township.

Burrell operated the Wilmington Road business.

28-year old Michael Burrelli was arrested at the scene and is being held on charges of criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.

He's scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Lawrence county Central Court next week.
