YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - More than 1,000 people are expected to participate in this Saturday's first annual African American Male Wellness Walk.

The five mile walk will start and end at Holy Trinity Church in Youngstown.

The event, which support the lives of African American men, is open to the public.

Free health screenings will be available beginning at 7:30 a.m. with the adult walk scheduled to follow at 9:30 a.m.  A kids walk will take place at 11:00 a.m.

"We believe this is an opportunity where men can collectively and in solidarity support one another and say, 'You know what?  We are going to be about the right thing and doing the right thing and let's get this, let's get this done,'" said Reverend Dr. Lewis Macklin II, senior pastor at Holy Trinity Church.

Youngstown-native and star of The Apprentice Omarosa Manigault will be in attendance.

Just for walking, participants will be entered into a number of giveaways, including free bikes and gym memberships.
