Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Police have arrested a registered sex offender whose whereabouts was unknown until officers arrested him in the bedroom of a south side home early Tuesday.

28-year-old Matthew Anthony Dubose was arrested at a Saint Louis Avenue home around 4 a.m. after a woman complained that he refused to leave her daughter's bedroom.

The woman told police that Dubose entered the room through a window, and forced the daughter to have sex with him.

Dubose was booked into jail on suspicion of rape, burglary and unlawful restraint.

According to an Ohio Attorney General database, Dubose was wanted for failing to comply with reporting requirements for sexually oriented offenders, which include reporting a current address.

According to Mahoning County court records, Dubose was designated as a sex offender when he was convicted of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor in 2007.

Dubose is in the Mahoning County  jail.
