YSU to break ground on $1.25 million Veterans Resource Center today

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Ground will be broken today for a $1.25 million Veterans Resource Center at Youngstown State University.

The new 6,000 square foot center will "help improve and expand services to military veterans and service members transitioning to university student life at YSU," according to a release.

The 10 a.m. groundbreaking ceremony will be held at the future site of the center on Wick Avenue, between Melnick Hall and Pollock House. Local veterans and university officials are expected to attend.

The project, which is being funded entirely by private donations, is expected to be completed by next spring.
