Tanker and pickup truck collide in Southington

SOUTHINGTON TWP., Ohio - The state highway patrol is investigating the collision of two trucks in Southington Township.

A tank truck collided with a pickup truck at Route 534 and Herner County Line Road at around noon.

The tanker was carrying water.

Witnesses report that one of the drivers walked away from the scene, however troopers say there was what they termed a "miscommunication", and the accident was not a hit and run.

No one was seriously injured.

    Campbell Police officers say they had to pull a child endangering suspect out of a fruit cellar in order to arrest him for allegedly breaking the wrist of his two-month-old daughter.     Mill Creek MetroParks Police say a dog that slipped its collar near Lake Cohasset on Wednesday and ran after a coyote. Police Sergeant John Novotny tells 21 News that a woman was walking her Chocolate Labrador Retriever in the Bears Den area of the park at around 7:30 am when the dog got away and began to chase the coyote. Officers recovered the dog, who police say was not injured.
